Cole Swindell is giving fans a look back at his hometown with his new music video for "Right Where I Left It." The song officially dropped last Friday (September 27) and the music video was shared on Tuesday (October 1).
"Right Where I Left It" is about the fresh perspective you get when you go back home after being away for a while. The things and people you see will spark a handful of memories that'll bring you back to who you really are.
The video shows footage of Swindell traveling around seeing people and places in his hometown of Bronwood, Georgia. One of the places the country singer emphasized in the video was his high school, Terrell Academy.
"To go back now and see one of my high school quarterbacks that was a few years ahead me, his son is now playing football and he is in the video," Swindell shared with ET. "It's just really cool to get to go back. I was exactly like them. I miss those days and hope they know how good they have it right now and enjoy their time there."
The country singer's mom, Betty Carol Rainey, made an appearance in the video as well. Swindell opens up about how excited it was to have his mom included. "She is only in a couple of shots, but...when I hug her in the video, it says everything I want to say. I would not be here without her," he says.
"What a special lady. She deserves so much," he continued. "She has taken care of me my whole like, and now I get to take care of her. There is no better feeling in the world."
