Nick Carter & Lauren Kitt Welcome Baby No. 2 After Miscarriage

Nick Carter and Lauren Kitt are new parents to a baby girl!

The couple welcomed the birth of their first daughter on Wednesday (October 2), Us Weekly has exclusively confirmed. Following the delivery, the pair's rep from EMC Bowery stated, “Mom and daughter are doing great.”

In May, the Backstreet Boys member took to Instagram to announce he and his wife were expecting their second child. “Thank You God for giving us the greatest gift we could ever ask for. #pregnant #happiness #family,” the 36-year-old wrote alongside a picture of the lovebirds’ first child, son Odin, kissing his mommy’s baby bump.

The family of four’s latest addition comes over a year after Kitt suffered a miscarriage. Carter was the first to address the devastating news on Twitter, writing at the time: “God give us peace during this time. I was really looking forward to meeting her after 3 months. I’m heartbroken.”

Months later, the fitness star broke her silence on Instagram with a picture of her ultrasound in March. “As a woman I am supposed to create life and failing to do so feels like failure as a human,” Kitt wrote. “I accept circumstances out of our control and I’ve moved on from my losses. Days like today remind me just how fortunate I am to have a healthy child and how BADASS women are, how much we endure with a smile on our face.”

“If you are struggling to start a family or have had a loss this post is for you, you’re not alone and there is always hope. Thankfully I have access to great doctors and healthcare professionals but sadly many women don’t so,” she concluded her message.
