'Supernatural' Star Jared Padalecki Arrested For Assault At Texas Bar

Jared Padalecki was reportedly arrested in Austin, Texas, on Sunday morning (October 27) on two charges of assault and one count of public intoxication.

According to TMZ, the Supernatural actor was detained in his hometown outside of Stereotype Bar after allegedly punching a bartender and manager. The 37-year-old, who frequents the bar, was supposedly caught on camera during the incident. Per eyewitness reports, the star punched the two workers in the face inside the club, which prompted him to be escorted outside by a friend whom Padalecki apparently then put into a headlock during a standoff of their own.

A number of videos obtained by the celebrity news outlet showed a man, believed to be Padalecki, scuffling with an unknown male; another saw that same man leaning on the hood of a vehicle while speaking with the cops; and then a third clip showed someone being taken into police custody. What’s more, it’s alleged Padalecki flashed a wad of cash at the officers before he was hauled off. (See an image of Padalecki's mugshot at TMZ here.)

His bond has since been set to $15,000 — $5,000 per charge — though it’s unclear if he’s been bailed out yet

In 2018, Padalecki attended the grand opening of the venue, which, via its Facebook page, considers itself “a music-centric concept, featuring rotating DJs – including dedicated vinyl DJ sets – video DJs sets and live music. Stereotype blends sophistication with retro and nineties flair to create an infinitely entertaining and approachable bacchanal scene.”
