Chrissy Teigen's Parents Are Getting A Divorce

Chrissy Teigen’s parents are headed for a divorce.

The bestselling author’s father, Ron Teigen Sr., filed to dissolve his marriage to the star’s mother, Vilailuck Teigen, in Los Angeles, PEOPLE confirmed on Tuesday (November 5). The reason for their separation has neither been revealed nor has Chrissy publicly addressed her parents’ impending divorce. Aside from the 33-year-old model, Ron and Vilailuck also share another daughter named Tina.

It’s the latest we’ve heard of Chrissy’s parents’ relationship since she revealed early last year that her mother had been living with her and husband John Legend, despite the fact that her father lives only 10 minutes away from her family. “Everybody is like, ‘Where’s your dad?’” Teigen told Us Weekly in January 2018, before explaining: “He comes by every day and they’re married. It just works for them. It’s a good family life. We’re all very close, very tight–knit.”

Despite the unconventional situation, the Bring the Funny star has remained as close as ever with both her parents.

As evidenced in previous Instagram posts, Chrissy often shares photos of her mom and dad hanging out with the family and her two children she shares with the R&B crooner — Luna Simone, 3, and Miles Theodore, 1. In fact, Ron was pictured bonding with grandson Miles over the summer, which Chrissy proudly captioned at the time: “Miles and papa Teigen!” Sharing another post of her attempting to snap a family photo in which Vilailuck sits front and center, Chrissy quipped: “We are ALMOST all looking!!!”
