Halsey Contemplates Shaving Her Head After Criticism Over Short Hair

It may be time for a new 'do in 2020 for Halsey.

On Monday (December 16), the "clementine” singer took to her Instagram story to reminisce about one of her legendary haircuts. “Do I perhaps miss my short hair?” she wrote along with an older photo featuring a pixie cut.

Currently, Halsey is looking flawless with her natural hair in a short bob and sometimes adds extensions for special occasions like red carpets but it seems like she's itching to switch it up again — and I am so here for it!

If you've kept up with Halsey at all over the past five plus years, you'll know she loves trying out new hairstyles and colors — like her Badlands blue, a rainbow part, a pink pixie, and most recently a stunning red which she rocks in her brand-new video for “Finally // beautiful stranger” off her upcoming album, Manic.

Her short hair, of course, doesn't come without unnecessary critique (yawn) and Halsey has no issue speaking out. “Whenever I mention that I miss my pixie cut, people send me the wildesssst messages talking bout, 'the general public doesn't like short hair!!'” she wrote. “As if I have ever given a minuscule f***.” She's said it best herself in her song “Nightmare” — she doesn't “owe you a g**damn thing!”

The message ended with the 25-year-old mentioning she might cut her hair even shorter. “Just for that imma shave it bald,” she wrote. “Just kidding but hey maybe!”

Whether she decides to go back to a pixie cut or shave it, we can be absolutely sure she will look incredible no matter what hair (or lack of hair) she chooses and I patiently await my next hair-inspo!

The “Graveyard” singer recently closed out our 2019 iHeartRadio Jingle Ball with an epic sing-along and pyro-infused set.
