Miranda Lambert appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert where she delivered a spirited performance of her new song, "Tequila Does."
Joined by her band, Lambert sang the catchy song, which compared the effect of tequila to a romantic relationship. "The boys around here drink domestic beer / They’re all hat and no cattle / But I won’t sleep alone, because my old pal Patron is taking me home tonight," Lambert sings, adding, "They don’t love me like tequila does.”
"Tequila Does," co-written by Lambert alongside Jon Randall and Jack Ingram, comes from her latest Wildcard album, which was released on November 1. "'Tequila Does' is country," Lambert says. "And country music makes me happy. No matter how rock or edgy or scorned you can get, when you come back to a country song with a steel guitar, it makes my soul feel like it's on fire."

Later this month, fans can catch Lambert's live performance of "Tequila Does" along with other hit tracks as she hits the road for her "Wildcard Tour." The tour will launch on January 16 in Tupelo, Mississippi with scheduled stops through the end of February.
"The essence of a wildcard is always having something up your sleeve, in whatever capacity that means to you," Lambert says. "Which is why I'm excited to kick off this tour with an incredible group of talented artists. We're going to have a blast!"
Joining her on the road is the Texas country singer, Cody Johnson and Lanco. For a few select stops, the Randy Rogers Band and Parker McCollum will also join Lambert. Tickets for the tour are available now.
