A day after breaking the news of her surprise engagement on Valentine’s Day (February 14), the child star made the announcement official by sharing a selfie with the man she’s called the love of her life. In the snapshot, Bynes sports dark hair and a plaid top right beside her “Lover,” who appears smiling right beside her wearing a blue-and-black checkered button-up shirt.

According to E! News, Bynes’ hubby-to-be’s name is Paul Michael. The pair apparently met while in rehab and started dating two to three months ago. And in case you were wondering — yes, the engagement is very much real.

As we reported earlier, the actress used the romantic occasion to debut her engagement ring for the first time. “Engaged to tha love of my life,” the She’s the Man actress captioned the photo, in which Bynes flaunts a huge diamond sparkler on her finger beside someone else’s hand — we now know to be Michael’s — who sports a gold wedding band.

Initially, fans had mixed feelings about the 33-year-old’s engagement, whereas some claimed her ring looked fake, others congratulated the entertainer and sent positive vibes. Either way, you can tell she’s happy and that’s all that’s important to her.

For inquiring minds wanting to know, Bynes has reportedly been staying at a sober living house since she graduated from the Fashion Institute of Design & Merchandising in Los Angeles last June.
