Luke Bryan Gives Katy Perry His Best Marriage Advice

Luke Bryan offered up some marriage advice to fellow American Idol judge, Katy Perry, ahead of her wedding with Orlando Bloom.

"You can give advice, but marriage is a living, breathing thing," Bryan told People. "My thing is — it might sound cliché — but just don’t go to bed mad at each other."

He adds, "Even if you do go to bed mad at each other, don’t let it snowball. Me and Caroline get at each other as much as anybody, but we try not to let it drag out and or bury our problems."

In addition to his marriage advice, Bryan also praised Perry calling her "such a good-hearted person." He continued,"When I'm around her I almost forget how big of a global star she is."

The "What She Wants Tonight" singer previously complimented the kind of relationship Perry and Bloom have in another interview with People. "Her and Orlando, they have a fun relationship and I think that's very critical. Keep the relationship fun."

"My wife and I try to do that. If life gets busy and we get in a funk and we realize we haven't talked to each other in a while, no matter how mad you make each other, try and communicate," the country star said.

Bryan and Caroline has been married for 13 years now. They have two sons together, 11-year-old, Thomas "Bo" Boyer and 9-year-old, Tatum "Tate" Christopher. They've also been the guardians of their nephew Til and two nieces, Jordan and Kris ever since the Bryan's sister and brother-in-law died.

It's clear Bryan leads a very busy life between his family at home and life as a country music star. This summer he'll continue to balance the two as he hits the road for his "Proud To Be Right Here Tour" kicking off on May 28 in Cincinnati, Ohio running through October 10 in San Bernardino, California.

Special guests Morgan Wallen, Caylee Hammack and Runaway June are set to accompany Bryan on the journey. A full list of cities and dates for the tour can be seen here.

The "Proud To Be Right Here Tour" is in support of his upcoming new album, Born Here Live Here Die Here. The new project is due out on April 24.
