Game of Thrones came to an end after 8 seasons last year. Though the blockbuster fantasy series had a controversial finale, the cast still loves the show as much as ever. Not only did Sophie Turner recently admit she'd go back to Westeros in a heartbeat, Emilia Clarke opened up about a special Game of Thrones prop her brother gifted her for Christmas after the show went off air.
"My amazing brother, who’s in the camera department and worked on the show as well, gave me the best Christmas present ever,” Emilia said in a recent interview. "In one of the battle scenes, he got a mate of a mate…he got one of the Targaryen flags. So I opened it this Christmas and just burst into tears! So that’s going up in pride of place."
Throughout the show's run, Clarke repeatedly asked to take home pieces of Daenerys Targaryen's wardrobe and other props from set. "I keep asking Game of Thrones, ‘Please, can I have a wig? A coat?!' I had eight,” the actress said. Thanks to her brother, she has a new item to add to her collection.
While some fans may not think of House Targaryen so fondly after the divisive final season, Clarke has previously said she stands by the character no matter what. "It’s a very beautiful and touching ending. Hopefully, what you’ll see in that last moment as she’s dying is: There’s the vulnerability — there’s the little girl you met in season 1. See? She’s right there. And now, she’s not there anymore…” she said after the finale aired last year.
