There's no feeling like giving the perfect gift to someone, and Primus frontman Les Claypool had just the thing for actor Jason Momoa when the two crossed paths recently: his personal bass.

Momoa is best known for his roles in HBO's Game of Thrones, Aquaman and marriage to Lisa Bonet, but he's also a bass player himself and a Primus superfan.

After an "epic day," Momoa returned home to find the Claypool-designed Pachyderm bass waiting for him. He shared a clip of himself showing off the instrument and jamming on some classic Primus and Red Hot Chili Peppers bass riffs and profusely thanked Claypool for the generous gift.

"Just got home from an epic day and received this from my absolute favorite bass player LES CLAYPOOL — his personal bass," Momoa wrote in the caption. "i'm so thankful and f---ing stoked 1 because we are friends and i love your ohana and 2 i grew up to primus and RHCP. i love the bass and i'm so honoured to be able to play yours. pachyderm bass designed by les ... you can't even dream this day. all my aloha... [sic]."

At one point in the clip, Momoa shows the rear of the headstock of the bass Claypool's autograph and a note: "Ahoy, Momoa! ... Thump it!"

The clip ends after Momoa thumps out the first riff to Primus' 1993 hit, "My Name Is Mud," and exclaims: "My name is Momoa!"

Claypool himself commented on the post, writing that he was happy the bass "found a good home." He also complimented Momoa's chops, "You can actually play!"

Primus recently announced the 'Tribute to Kings' tour this summer, in which the band will honor Rush by performing 1977's A Farewell To Kings in its entirety.
