Dan + Shay Will No Longer Perform At The 2020 Stagecoach Festival

Country music duo, Dan + Shay will no longer perform at the annual Stagecoach Festival. The news came after festival organizers announced the event had been rescheduled to October due to ongoing concerns over the coronavirus.

"To our fans: we are bummed to announce that we will no longer be performing at Stagecoach this year due to its rescheduled date falling inside of our previously announced tour," the duo shares on social media. "We tried our best to move things around, but the logistics were simply not possible.We apologize to our fans in Southern California, and promise to make it up to you soon."

The duo continues on to encourage fans to still attend the festival in October "because the lineup in amazing."

"While we are saddened to not be a part of it, we are grateful for the folks at Goldenvoice and AEG, who are keeping the health and safety of residents, fans, and artists as top priority," they add. "Stagecoach is one of our favorite shows to play, and we truly wish we could be there to enjoy the weekend with all of you."

Dan + Shay will be on the road in October for their first ever headlining arena tour, "Dan + Shay The (Arena) Tour." The tour kicked off over the weekend on March 6 in Nashville, Tennessee and will run through October 31 in Tacoma, Washington.

Artists and festival organizers continue to cancel and reschedule shows due to the spread of COVID-19. On Tuesday (March 10), Zac Brown Band announced they will be postponing the spring leg of "The Owl Tour" due to coronavirus concerns. Additionally, Old Dominion recently announced their decision to cancel several international shows for the same reason.

So far, health officials with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have confirmed more than 600 cases of the coronavirus in the United States and 25 deaths. Globally, the virus has infected more than 113,000 people and killed more than 4,000 according to the World Health Organization.
