Reba McEntire Reschedules 2020 Tour Due To Coronavirus Pandemic

Reba McEntire is yet another country artists choosing to reschedule their 2020 tour plans due to the coronavirus pandemic. The country singer announced that she is delaying her headlining tour to the summer due to the virus.

The tour was initially scheduled to start on March 20 in Evansville, Indiana with shows running through May 9. Now, the tour will instead start on July 9 and run through August 8. A full list of new dates can be seen below.

"For the safety of everyone, we have decided to postpone our new arena tour until July," McEntire says in a press release. "Most importantly, stay safe and take care of you and your loved ones. We’ll get through this together."

Tickets for the original tour dates will be honored at the newly rescheduled shows. For further details, visit McEntire's website here.

McEntire is one of many artist who've decided to reschedule their tours due to health concerns. Earlier this week, Zac Brown Band was the first country group to cancel shows in the U.S. due to the spread of the virus. Additionally, major festivals like Stagecoach have been postponed until October.

The World Health Organization (WHO) officially declared coronavirus a pandemic on Wednesday (March 11). So far, health officials with the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention have confirmed more than 1,200 cases of the coronavirus in the United States and 36 deaths. Globally, the virus has infected more than 132,500 people and killed more than 4,900 according to the World Health Organization.
