Florida Georgia Line Gives $1,000 To Each FGL House Employee As Bar Closes

Florida Georgia Line is following Dierks Bentley's lead. The country music stars and owner of Nashville's FGL House, announced they will also give each employee $1,000 as the restaurant closes due to the spread of COVID-19.

The group shared the news in a video posted on Instagram Wednesday (March 18). FGL's Tyler Hubbard started the video off thanking Bentley for being generous to his staff at Whiskey Row and inspiring them to do the same thing.

"You inspired us, man. We are going to follow suit, we are going to take your lead and we are going to do the same thing," Hubbard says. "We are going to give $1,000 to all the FGL House employees. We hope this helps out in a time of need."

"We very, very vividly remember what it’s like to be in the service industry, to be a server, to be a bartender and to rely on tips to pay the bills," he continued. "We know everybody is a probably a little stressed out during this time so we hope this can help you guys out."

The other half of the duo, Brian Kelley added, "We are so grateful for everybody that helps make our restaurant run, every single person, barbacks, waiters, waitresses, bartenders."

Bentley shared his plan to help out Whiskey Row employees Tuesday (March 17) while sharing the news that his bar will close until further notice. In his announcement, he encouraged all bar owners on Lower Broadway to "take care of their bartenders, bar backs, waitresses, security, dishwashers etc. the best they can."

He added, "Lower Broadway is the heartbeat of Nashville. Let’s make sure we help the folks that help make the music happen."
