Gerard Way's not letting quarantine getting in the way of a "fun," "great" birthday. On Thursday (April 9), the My Chemical Romance frontman celebrated turning 43, and though he was stuck at home he was joined by his wife Lindsey, brother Mikey, and some of his closest for a virtual game of Dungeons & Dragons.
On Friday (April 10), Way shared a lengthy note about the festivities on Instagram alongside a screenshot of the Zoom party.
"So for my birthday, my loving wife @xlindseywayx and my dear brother @mikeyway got together with my friends and planned a birthday Dungeons And Dragons session! It was so much fun!" he exclaimed before going into acute detail of everyone's role in the game and their adventure, which involved a wizard transforming into a talking sheep.
"It was so nice to see my friends and communicate with them and be able to play a game together. I consider myself very lucky to have them as friends and such a wonderful group of players," he added. "And thanks for all the birthday wishes, I had a great one."
