Britney Spears Addresses Justin Timberlake Split In Instagram Post

Britney Spears paid her ex-boyfriend Justin Timberlake quite the compliment in her latest Instagram post.

On Wednesday (April 15), the pop star posted a video of herself dancing outside to Timberlake’s 2018 song “Filthy” from his fifth studio album, Man of the Woods — and she even acknowledged their infamous breakup while doing so.

“This is my version of Snapchat or TikTok or whatever the cool thing you're supposed to do these days 😅😅😅💃!!!!! As you can see I’m not really dancing folks …… I’m just very bored,” Spears wrote with a video of her playfully grooving to the song. “I know we had one of the world's biggest breakups 20 years ago. But hey, the man is a genius! Great song JT! ✨ !!!! Pssss if you KNOW WHAT'S GOOD 😜 !!!!!!”

The 39-year-old crooner, noticing the shoutout, responded with a bunch of emojis praising the “I’m a Slave 4 U” superstar, writing back, “😂🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼”

Amused by the clip, Britney’s little sister, Jamie Lynn Spears, popped into the comments section. “Blogs are already plotting their outrageous stories.... you keep having fun and looking cute tho!!” she commented.

As every fan knows, the Mickey Mouse Club alums once dated all the way back in 1999 before notoriously splitting up in 2002. That same year, the *NSYNC member seemingly implied Spears had been unfaithful during their romance in the music video for his song “Cry Me a River,” which featured a Spears look-alike. In turn, the 38-year-old superstar supposedly responded to the rumors in her fan-favorite track “Everytime.”

The stars have long since gone their separate ways and started families of their own. Timberlake is married to actress Jessica Biel, with whom he shares a son. Spears, who has been dating fitness trainer Sam Asghari since 2016, has two children from her previous relationship with Kevin Federline.
