In her first official public appearance since departing the Royal Family last month, Meghan Markle participated in a pre-taped interview with Good Morning America. If you were looking for royal tea about her decision to step away from the Royal Family, unfortunately, you won't find any here. The Duchess of Sussex discussed her first post-royal gig as a narrator for the Disneynature documentary film Elephant, which is currently available to stream on Disney Plus.
"I've been really lucky to be able to have hands-on experience with elephants in their natural habitat," Meghan said in the clip. "When you spend time connecting to them in their wildlife, you understand that we have a role to play in their preservation and their safety."
"I hope that when people see this film, they realize how connected we all are, and if we had more of an awareness about the obstacles they are facing, we would take care of each other, this planet, and these animals in a very different way," she continued.

Instead of taking a paycheck for her voiceover work in the documentary, Meghan asked Disney to make a donation Elephants Without Borders. The Botswana-based organization works to preserve the biodiversity and landscape of elephant populations in African countries.
Despite having to postpone the launch of their upcoming charitable organization Archewell, Meghan and her husband, Prince Harry, have been giving back in their new home of Los Angeles, California. The pair have been spotted making meal deliveries to the less fortunate on behalf of Project Angel Food.
