Kelly Ripa took her beauty into her own hands by giving herself a haircut amid the COVID-19 quarantine.

On Monday (April 20), Ripa, 49, hosted a remote episode of Live with her husband, Mark Consuelos, 49, who served as stand-in co-host for Ryan Seacrest, and she made the revelation. "I'm not going to lie. I cut my own hair," she told viewers. "I used kitchen scissors. We obviously don't have haircutting scissors. I cut my own hair. I didn’t cut bangs, because that's…"

Consuelos interrupted Ripa's explanation, admitting that he would have stopped her from such a move. "I didn’t say anything, but I was ready to jump in case you went across the bang," he chimed in.

Speaking of looks, Consuelos was seen sporting a Ripa-approved mustache similar to his own father. "My dad had a mustache. And he still does," Consuelos explained. "Growing up, I think he shaved it once and my mom made him grow it back. Because he had a lot of space between his nose and his top lip." Unfortunately, the couple’s children did not appreciate the new 'stache. "They say I look like an ageing porn star," the actor admitted.

Ripa isn't the only star who has resorted to quarantine haircuts. Earlier this month, Gwen Stefani gave Blake Shelton a haircut during a virtual appearance on The Tonight Show: Home Edition with Jimmy Fallon.
