Ansel Elgort let it all hang out in a thirst trap, which he shared on Instagram on Tuesday (April 21), but the steamy shot was all for a good cause.

In the viral shot, the actor, 26, can be seen in the shower with his arms covering all his necessary bits. "OnlyFans LINK IN BIO," he captioned the since-deleted post. However, followers found themselves at the tail end of a joke when they discovered the URL was a GoFundMe page for fellow actor Jeffrey Wright's Brooklyn For Life! fundraiser, which is focused on feeding those on the frontlines of the fight against COVID-19. "Our goal is to fund each Brooklyn for Life! restaurant, enabling them to provide - at no cost to the recipients - at least 75-100 meals per day for delivery to the Brooklyn frontlines of this pandemic," a statement reads on the GoFund me page.

As expected, Elgort's nude photo caught some buzz and the actor was the first to give fans the backstory later on in the day. "I don't know how much of this is from the post but it seems a lot of people have been giving in the last few hours," he told followers via Instagram Story. "Thanks a lot. Looks like it was worth it."

Elsewhere in his follow-up, the actor said that Instagram was making him remove the shot because of the nudity, but he was considering posting a less risqué edit of the shot. "Sorry if I offended anybody but we did a good thing," the actor continued. "And my dad took the picture by the way. He was mad, he said that I needed to give him credit."

At time of press, the Brooklyn for Life! fund had raised over $211,000 of its $1,000,000 goal.
