Carrie Underwood Joins New Kids On The Block 'House Party' Music Video

New Kids on the Block has shared the new star-studded music video for their upbeat quarantine tune, "House Party." The clip features several famous faces including country music superstar, Carrie Underwood.

At the 1:37 mark of the video, Underwood is seen dancing around a bedroom with braids in her hair, sporting a New Kids On the Block t-shirt. The band's Donnie Wahlberg opened up about Underwood's cameo in a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight.

"I got a text out of nowhere from Carrie Underwood and she’s, like, performing her heart out for this song she barely knows," Wahlberg explains. "She has her own kids, and her own family, and God knows what state her life is in, and everyone is really going above and beyond for this."

He continues, "There are moments where I don’t know if I want to ask, I don’t know if I want to impose on people, but I kind of just keep pushing through, and making the call, and sending the text and the way that they reacted, it just reaffirms love and gratitude because that is what the song is about."

Wahlberg teamed up with Deekay Music to write the collaboration with Boyz II Men and Naughty by Nature, Jordin Sparks and Big Freedia. The song lyrics are centered around the idea of making the most of being at home during the current global COVID-19 pandemic.

"People need to be entertained, to feel light, to be happy. If we can do even the smallest thing to lift someone’s day we will do that," Wahlberg says of his inspiration to write the song. "All we want to do is give back in the best way we know how.”

Other special guest appearances in addition to Underwood, include Nicole Scherzinger of the Pussycat Dolls, The Masked Singer judge Ken Jeong and more.

Proceeds from "House Party" will go to No Kid Hungry, which is helping vulnerable children around the country have access to food during the COVID-19 pandemic.
