On Saturday (May 2), Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrated their daughter Princess Charlotte's fifth birthday on social media. Per Royal Family tradition, the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge shared new photos of Princess Charlotte with the public to mark the special day. Kate photographed Charlotte herself—as she's done with all her kids' birthday portraits in the past. The Duchess snapped the photos while Charlotte helped her parents pack and deliver food for those in need during the ongoing pandemic.

"The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share four new photographs of Princess Charlotte ahead of her fifth birthday tomorrow," the caption on the Kensington Palace post reads. "The images were taken by The Duchess as the family helped to pack up and deliver food packages for isolated pensioners in the local area."

Just as she did with Prince Louis on his second birthday a few weeks back, Kate saved an extra photo to post later as a way of thanking everybody for their outpouring of love and well-wishes for the little princess. "Thank you for all your lovely messages on Princess Charlotte’s fifth birthday!" the caption of the bonus Instagram post read.

Happy birthday, Princess Charlotte!
