Garth Brooks Releases Two New Songs From Forthcoming Album, 'Fun'

Garth Brooks is giving fans a taste of his upcoming new album, Fun, with the release of two new songs, "Party Gras (The Mardi Gras Song)" and "That's What Cowboys Do." The country star made the decision to drop the songs during his weekly Facebook Live, Inside Studio G on Monday night (May 11).

The idea came when a fan named Jack asked Brooks when his new album would be available. After a momentary pause, the country icon replied, "Jack, tell you what we're going to do. We'll get Amazon Music on the phone. You can stream Garth. Let's release half the album on Amazon Music....tonight. Can we do that?"

As a result, the two songs were released exclusively to the digital music platform for fans to stream. "Party Gras" is a good-timing, party anthem while "That's What Cowboys Do" is a classical country song about the life of a cowboy.

Currently, Brooks has seven songs from Fun available to stream. In addition to "Party Gras" and "That's What Cowboys Do," fans can also hear "Courage of Love," "The Road I'm On," All Day Long," Stronger Than Me," and "Dive Bar," which features Blake Shelton.

Although Brooks' new album is ready to go, he has yet to announce the official release date due to the current global health crisis.

"We’ve had this discussion. I don’t want to be the guy that tries to do something in the midst where everybody is hurtin'," he shared in a press release. "It’s like...da*n it. The album’s ready to go. It’s just how do you get out and promote and be happy and jolly while everybody’s out there fighting for their lives..."

Stay tuned for more album details to come in the future. Inside Studio G airs every Monday on Brooks' Facebook page at 7:00 PM EST.
