An old clip of Anthony Bourdain's show Parts Unknown was shared widely on Twitter on the second anniversary of his death. In the clip, Bourdain poignantly praises Waffle House, capturing the southern food chain's spirit in the way only he could. The short video also captures what so many people loved about Bourdain throughout his career—his funny, unpretentious approach to life and food.

The clip comes from an episode of Parts Unknown in which Chef Sean Brock takes Bourdain to Waffle House for the first time. Brock describes Waffle House as a "magical, spiritual place" to a slightly disbelieving Bourdain. But after visiting Waffle House himself, Bourdain quickly sees the magic of the establishment and says the restaurant cuts "right to the center of what makes our country great."

"It is indeed marvelous," Bourdain begins the narration heard in the clip. "An irony-free zone where everything is beautiful and nothing hurts. Where everybody, regardless of race, creed, color, or degree of inebriation is welcomed. Its warm yellow glow, a beacon of hope and salvation, inviting the hungry, the lost, the seriously hammered, all across the south, to come inside. A place of safety and nourishment. It never closes, it is always, always faithful, always there for you."

The video resurfaced on Tuesday (June 8) as fans memorialized Bourdain on the anniversary of his tragic passing. "I always enjoyed watching his perfect description of Waffle House," Twitter user Erick Fernandez wrote alongside the clip. He also called the moment between Bourdain and Brock "sensational and hilarious."

Many other fans of Bourdain shared Fernandez's tweet and added replies honoring the late culinary expert. Some shared other moments from Bourdain's storied career, as well, showing how deeply missed he is.
