Holly Williams Speaks Out After Death Of Sister Katherine Williams-Dunning

Hank Williams Jr.'s youngest daughter, Katherine "Katie" Williams-Dunning died in a car crash on Saturday night (June 13). Her half-sister, Holly Williams, turned to Instagram to mourn the loss of her beloved sister, which occurred just days after the passing of her great aunt, Loretta S. Fleming.

"I have no words," Williams begins, sharing a final family photo, taken on Friday morning (June 12). "On Friday morning I talked the family into taking this picture and had no idea it would be our last together with my precious little sister Katie. We all went to my great aunts funeral on Thursday whom we all loved dearly, and now are faced with another one."

"ALL we need is prayers," she continued. "My daddy. My little brother. Katie’s husband (he is awake and responding don’t know injury extent yet). My niece and nephew. Her Mama. The Dunning family. All of us. So. Many. Prayers. Jesus is close. Thank you all 🙏🏼❤️ Be merciful to me, O LORD, for I am in distress; my eyes grow weak with sorrow, my soul and my body with grief. Psalm 31:9"

Williams-Dunning was killed on Saturday (June 13) in a car accident on Highway 79 in Henry County, Tennessee.

According to Tennessee Highway Patrol spokesman Lt. Brad Wilbanks, 27-year-old Williams-Dunning was driving a 2007 Chevrolet Tahoe, which was towing a boat, when the vehicle crossed a median dividing the highway and rolled over. The Tahoe crossed through the highway's northbound lanes and stopped on the shoulder.

Williams-Dunning's husband, 29-year-old, Tyler Dunning was airlifted to Vanderbilt University Medical Center. At this time, the extent of his injuries are not clear although we know he is "alive and responding" according to William's Instagram post.

Dunning and Williams-Dunning married in October of 2015. She leaves behind two children, a 5-year-old son named Beau Weston and a 2-year-old daughter named Audrey Jane.
