Kelly Clarkson has turned to Blake Shelton amid her divorce from Brandon Blackstock.
As per Us Weekly, The Voice co-stars are remaining close during Clarkson's hard time. "Blake has been supportive and the friend she has needed, as always," an insider said of the country star, who is managed by Blackstock. "Blake and Kelly often joke they are siblings."
Meanwhile, another insider told the celebrity gossip outlet that Blackstock's stepmother, Reba McEntire, has also been a source of comfort for the American Idol alum. "[Kelly] broke the news to Reba," the second source revealed of the inner family dynamics. "Reba's supportive of both Brandon and Kelly's decision to split. She's anguished about it, but she’s not one to judge.”
In an interview conducted before her divorce was announced, Clarkson spoke about being "on an emotional rollercoaster" (both personally and professionally) amid the COVID-19 pandemic. "Everything has been crazy," she confessed. "It's been exhausting honestly, cooking every meal and cleaning nonstop after toddlers and teenagers! Everybody's learning from home now and the teaching! So, everything has been crazy."
The interview arrived days after Clarkson filed divorce documents in Los Angeles to end her marriage to Blackstock after almost seven years together. As for the reason for their split, she cited "irreconcilable differences." The pair share two children: River Rose, 5 Remington, 4.
