Police are dispersing protesters in Seattle's Capitol Hill Occupation Protest (CHOP) zone following an emergency order by Mayor Jenny Durkan.
Durkan's executive order came in response to "reported life safety, public health and property issues" around the East Precinct and Cal Anderson Park area where protesters have occupied for weeks. The CHOP zone has also been the location of a series of shootings, including two fatal ones, in the last two weeks.
