Before the coronavirus pandemic stunned the world, X Ambassadors were touring it. They spent the latter part of 2019 and beginning of 2020 traversing the globe, playing in Europe, UK, China, Japan, Australia, New Zealand, and the US. While on the road, the band filmed the video for its recent single "Belong," and then was forced to cancel the rest of the world tour.

On Friday (July 17), X Ambassadors shared the bittersweet visuals on Instagram.

"We shot this video over the course of our last tour," the wrote alongside the clip. "We wanted it to feel like a love letter to our fans and friends across the globe. We went all over the world on this tour, to 21 different cities and 11 different countries in 38 days. It was cut short because of the coronavirus and we had to fly home early. We were devestated [sic] not to be able to finish. Now, this video serves mostly as a reminder to us of how much we miss the things that we may have taken a little for granted: travel, playing shows, and each other."

Although quarantine made their tour end prematurely, it didn't stop X Ambassadors from releasing new music. In May, the trio dropped a new song called "Zen" that they wrote in lockdown.
