Our favorite pint-sized musician, Nandi Bushell, is back with a brand new drum cover and this time she's tackling Green Day's “Basket Case.”
So far, she'sflawlessly covered Nirvana and Muse's “Hysteria,” and on Tuesday (July 21), she got a little punk rock.
“I LOVE @Green Day! I really enjoy jamming out to punk songs! Lots of energy, I can just let it all out. Billie Joe Armstrong, Mike Dirnt and Tré Cool loving your work! Basket Case is awesome,” she captioned the 3-minute video.
As you'll see in the video, the 10-year-old, dressed in a bright pink dress and pigtails, gives Tré Cool a run for his money as she expertly rocks her drumkit, complete with some pretty bada** drumstick moves. Oh yeah, and she's doing it all barefoot too.
“I think this might be your BEST EVER video, Nandi, and it is particularly good to see you cover a whole song. Please, never lose that enthusiasm, it is even more important than your very special talent,” one fan wrote on YouTube.
Another even admitted she's a better drummer than they are: “I have been playing drums on and off for more than 10 years and have been in a few bands but you are definitely a better drummer than me, I love watching you play.”
And don't worry, Green Day did see the video! They loved the cover so much that they shared her video on the band's Instagram Story and wrote, “this rules” above it.
Bushell recently received an incredible surprise when Rage Against The Machine guitarist Tom Morello gifted her his signature Fender Stratocaster, along with a video message.
She later thanked him again for the gift by uploading a cover of Audioslave's “Cochise” using Morello's 'Soul Power' Strat.
