Like many people across the country, over the last few months, Baylee Littrell has been at home due to the coronavirus pandemic. But, the country singer/songwriter has kept himself very busy writing new music and launching a live series for fans called "Homemade-Originals."
During the series, Baylee gives fans a look into being at home as he performs live, alongside family and friends. Littrell exclusively tells iHeartRadio, "The Baylee Littrell Homemade series has been one of the greatest things we've done so far, and especially this year. Just being able to give the fans a homemade experience, something very personal, a lot of original songs which they've never heard before, and that was really the first time ever doing that. Fans have never heard something that personal since 'Let Her Go,' the song I wrote on 770-Country, the last track. So, having something this personal to give them has been absolutely incredible."
He adds, "The first homemade session really stood out to me as being the best because it was the introduction to 'Homemade' and fans seeing, for the first time, how much of a family we really are. And so, kind of having mom and dad incorporated in that really showed everyone how much we love each other, and that nothing is set up, that we're constantly together. We're constantly in this all the time with each other. As mom being manager and dad helping being my musical director and helping produce on the records, I think that was something great for them to see, and just the music in general, being able to give them original songs. And what I'm really excited about is this next homemade session, they'll be able to have even more."
Fans can catch "Homemade-Originals" on Friday, July 31st at 7pm ET via his official YouTube channel.
Aside from his "Homemade-Originals" series, Baylee has been enjoying a "quiet summer with the family," but he's also been writing a lot of new music. He tells us, "I've been writing probably more than I ever have in my entire life right now. It's usually a song a day, or every other day, and I feel like it's some of my best material. So, this entire summer I've kinda dedicated it to writing, and getting some really great songs, and some that I'm super proud of that will be in our next 'Homemade' coming up. So super, super excited for that."
Baylee's song, "Some Guys," from his 770-Country project, is just one thing he is excited about this year. He explains of the song, "'Some Guys' was one of the first songs I ever recorded in Nashville back in the beginning of 2018, so this song has been with me since the beginning of my country career. 'Some Guys' was written by some stand up people, Canaan Smith, one of my great friends Corey Crowder, and Tyler Hubbard. Those gentlemen are amazing, so being able to work with them, work with Corey, was probably the best start to a country career a kid could ask for. Corey's been nothing but amazing to me, so having them on this journey, and especially with 'Some Guys,' I think is super special. 'Some Guys' is something we've wanted to give everybody for a while as a single, so I'm super excited to see how people react to that."
Littrell added that in addition to "Some Guys," he can't wait to get into the studio to actually record some of his new original music. He tells us, "We all know that 'Some Guys' is definitely something we're looking forward to pushing this year, as well as hopefully, some original material. I'm gonna get back into the studio and start recording some of that, because I really, really, want fans to hear that, and get their ear on it, and really be able to honestly tell me what they think. I'm super, super excited to record my own stuff, and this is the first time I've really gotten to do this since 'Let Her Go.' So super, super excited to be recording some originals, and stay tuned."
And although it's been a tough year for everyone, Baylee had this to say to his fans and for everyone facing a hard time:
"2020 has been a very difficult year for everybody, and especially in our country. I really want everyone to know that we have to stay strong, and we have to come together because divide is the number one thing that we face I feel everyday. And so, by coming together and getting through this as one big family and as one big team, I think that's what we really need to do. So for family, friends, fans, everyone out there, stay strong. The Littrell family is sending our love, and I'm sending my love to every one of you, and know that we will be stronger from this."
