Justin Bieber is plotting his return to the road with a trek deemed "The Justin Bieber World Tour."
On Thursday (July 23), the pop titan announced the rescheduled 2021 dates for his previously postponed tour, which was in support of his fifth studio, Changes, and delayed by the COVID-19 pandemic. Instead of the initial stadium-focused schedule, Team Bieber has rerouted the trek to hit arenas and begin June 2nd, 2021 at San Diego’s Pechanga Arena until August 15 for a final show at the Golden 1 Center in Sacramento, California. In addition to the revised schedule, there are set to be new opening acts to replace Jaden Smith and Kehlani. The supporting artists are scheduled to be unveiled at a later date.
"I can’t wait to get out there and connect with my fans on this tour," Bieber said in a statement. "We’ve been through so much this year. More than ever, we’ve come to understand how much we need each other, and how meaningful these moments can really be."
Previous ticketholders are set to receives e-mails with event updates and additional options if they cannot make the rescheduled 2021 shows. One dollar from each ticket purchase will be donated to the Bieber Foundation, which is aimed at supporting mental health awareness. Tickets for the 2021 trek go on sale starting August 6.
