Blackpink & Selena Gomez Share Sticky-Sweet Teaser For New Collab

SELPINK is coming!

Looks like Blackpink and Selena Gomez’s collaboration will be something sweet, as both artists took to their respective social media accounts with promo posters for their upcoming team-up, set to premiere on August 28.

Taking to their band’s official IG on Monday (August 17), the K-pop stars teased the song in a colorful advert that features a melting pink-and-orange double popsicle, with Blackpink and Gomez representing each flavor. The “Rare” songbird also provided a sneak peek of her own with a photo of what looks like an ice cream truck with a license plate that reads “Selpink.” 

“SELPINK pulling up soon. 8/28,” the Disney alum teased in the picture’s caption, getting Selenators amped up about the highly-anticipated arrival of her first K-pop endeavor with the girl group, who just might accompany their team-up with a music video.

As yet, the title of SELPINK's mystery collaboration remains unknown. What we do know, however, is that the track will serve as the band’s second single from their upcoming debut album, BLACKPINK: The Album, due out on October 2. The song will follow Blackpink’s groundbreaking single “How You Like That,” which shattered multiple Guinness world records in its wake back in June, achieving the most-viewed YouTube video in 24 hours, the most-viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours, and the most-viewed music video on YouTube in 24 hours by a K-pop act.

This will be Gomez’s first collaboration since she featured on Trevor Daniel’s “Past Life” remix in June. The "Look A Her Now" singer also unveiled long-awaited third studio album, Rare, which topped the charts earlier this year.
