Morgan Wallen Brings 'More Than My Hometown' Lyrics To Life In New Video

Morgan Wallen brings the bittersweet storyline of "More Than My Hometown" to life in the brand new music video released on Monday (August 24).

Directed by Justin Clough, the clip acts as a mini-movie as it tells the story of a small-town couple struggling to maintain their relationship. The female lead goes off to chase her big-city dreams, while her boyfriend stays in their small town and tries to go on without her.

Wallen himself is featured as a character in the video, playing the big brother to the female lead. He also helps guide the story as he sings the lyrics, "I love you more than the feeling when the bass hits a hook / When the guy gets the girl at the end of the book / But that ain't you and me so I guess I'll see you around / 'Cause I can't love you more than my hometown."

The video concludes with headlights flashing on the door of a mechanic shop, leaving viewers with a cliffhanger. Check it out in the video below.

"More Than My Hometown," written by by Wallen alongside Hardy, Ernest, Keith Smith and Ryan Vojtesak, was released in April this year. The song will likely serve as the lead single from Wallen's highly anticipated sophomore album, which has yet to be announced. The upcoming project follows up his 2018 debut, If I Know Me.

Wallen's recently released songs including "7 Summers" and "This Bar" are also expected to appear on the record. Stay tuned for more details to come.
