Jamie Lynn Spears was secretly named her sister Britney Spears’ trustee, according to Us Weekly.

As per court documents obtained by the outlet on Tuesday (August 25), the Zoey 101 actress is supposedly set to inherit the “I’m a Slave 4 U” superstar’s SJB Revocable Trust, in the event that Britney passes away.

Us also indicates that the paperwork was amended in 2018 with Jamie Lynn listed as “trustee,” and that the sisters’ father, Jamie Spears, and Britney’s co-conservator at the time, Andrew Wallet, had signed off on the docs.

Although the 29-year-old is described as the “sole beneficiary” of the SJB Trust, the 38-year-old pop icon had arranged the trust in 2004 to secure the financial future of her sons Sean, 14, and Jayden, 13.

As the docs laid out, Jamie Lynn will gain “the entire principal of the Trust, including all accused and undistributed and unrealized income,” which will be combined with “any insurance on the settlor’s life or other assets payable to the Trust as a result of settlor’s death [and will be] distributed by the Trustee to the trustee or co-trustee of the BJS Kids & Family Trust.”

Albeit as to when these changes would take place, Jamie has also requested the court to approve “blocked accounts” via Fidelity Financial Management, who would hold the “Slumber Party” star’s assets and serve as advisors to her investments, if granted.

Jamie Lynn’s appointment as her trustee comes amid her sister and father’s ongoing fight against her 12-year conservatorship. As we previously reported of the case’s latest development, Britney has since requested a California court to replace her father as sole conservatorship with her temporary care manager, Jodi Montgomery, who assumed the role of conservator after Jamie stepped down in September 2019 following his alleged abuse scandal.

Since Britney’s conservatorship case gained traction amid the fan-led #FreeBritney campaign, the musician’s case has since prompted the American Civil Liberties Union to offer her additional support.
