In early June, Dashboard Confessional's Chris Carrabba was hospitalized following a serious motorcycle accident.
The road to recovery has been long and hard but the singer has been optimistic along the way and has updated fans month after month on his progress including small victories like being able to dress himself.
Carrabba suffered two broken shoulders among other injuries and on Tuesday (August 25), he gave fans another update on his health — and thankfully, it was a positive one.
“My broken shoulders are officially healed,” he wrote. “Now for some more grueling physical therapy to regain use of these arms of mine!!”
His caption was posted next to a chilling snap of his X-ray showing the aftermath of his shoulder surgery with over metal 20 screws and two metal plates attached to his bones. While Carrabba has briefly told fans about the accident, the photo really shows the severity of his injuries and fans were left in shock seeing the picture.
“Holy metal batman! But yay for healing and yay for more physical therapy. You got this,” one fan commented while another wrote, “Holy s***. Stay strong, you got this!”
One month ago, the “Hands Down” singer braved the site of his scary crash and posted a video of where it happened saying, “I’m really lucky to be alive” in the footage.
Like many artists, Carrabba was focusing on new music while spending his unplanned time in quarantine. Here's hoping for a fast recovery so he can play guitar again.
