Pink took on nursing duties following her husband Carey Hart’s recent surgery.
The “Glitter in the Air” singer took to Instagram with an image of the BMX star resting after going under the knife for rotator cuff surgery. To celebrate her hubby’s successful operation, Pink posted a sweet message along with a post-op photo of the shirtless 40-year-old wearing a face mask while being hooked to tubes from his hospital bed.
"My man baby. I love him so," Pink wrote of the father of her two children — daughter Willow, 9, and son Jameson, 3. "Successful surgery and now, let the healing begin. #bionicman #rotatorcuff #nurseratchetwillseeyounow"
Sharing the same image on his Instagram, Hart thanked his wife for being his “nurse” during the procedure, writing, “Surgery was a success!!! Thanks so much to my amazing wife and nurse, @pink. She is my rock when I’m banged up. Time to get on the mend. 👍👍”
Hart’s operation comes after his wife and son’s terrifying bout with COVID-19 in March. As the “Just Give Me A Reason” superstar explained at the time, her baby boy had become “really, really sick” after testing positive for the novel virus.
"There were many nights when I’ve cried and I’ve never prayed more in my life,” she admitted during an Instagram Live with friend Jen Pastiloff. "It’s funny, but at one point, I thought they promised us our kids would be okay. It’s not guaranteed. There is no one that is safe from this."
Expounding on the mother-son pair’s “terrifying” symptoms on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, the musician recalled, “[It] started with a fever for him and it would come and go and he would have stomach pains and diarrhea and chest pains and then a headache, sore throat. … His fever stayed, it didn't go. And then it just started going up and up and up and up and then at one point it was at 103. I'm calling my doctor, 'What do I do?' He's like, 'There's nothing to do. He's 3. We're not seeing this take 3-year-olds out, so just stay home.'"
