Katy Perry Wears Bra & Underwear In First Selfie Since Giving Birth

Katy Perry is fully embracing her postpartum bod.

The pop star, who recently welcomed her newborn daughter, Daisy Dove, with fiancé Orlando Bloom, took to social media with her first selfie since giving birth.

Perry was sorely missed at the 2020 MTV Video Music Awards last night (August 30), so the singer opted to bring the red carpet to her bathroom by flaunting her maternity ensemble from home. “Hair n makeup by: @exhaustion,” the new mommy quipped a hilarious photo of her sporting a yellow breast-pumping bra and disposable underwear via her Instagram Stories while an audio snippet of her song “Not the End of the World” plays in the background.

The hilarious snapshot comes just days after she and the Pirates of the Caribbean actor celebrated the arrival of their baby girl on August 26. The lovebirds, who are also Goodwill Ambassadors for UNICEF, partnered with the charity to announce the delivery with a black-and-white image of Baby Daisy.

“We are floating with love and wonder from the safe and healthy arrival of our daughter,” the couple shared in a statement. “But we know we’re the lucky ones and not everyone can have a birthing experience as peaceful as ours was. Communities around the world are still experiencing a shortage of healthcare workers and every eleven seconds a pregnant woman or newborn dies, mostly from preventable causes. … As parents to a newborn, this breaks our hearts, as we empathize with struggling parents now more than ever.”

This is Perry’s first child and Bloom’s second after his 9-year-old son Flynn, whom he shares with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
