ICE!, the popular ice sculpture exhibit will not be returning to the Gaylord Texan this year due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, the resort will be adding in a new attraction in its place.

This year's Christmas experience will include the regular attractions like snow tubing, ice skating, and a gingerbread decorating corner. In addition, there will be an "I Love Christmas Movies" exhibit this year, featuring popular holiday films like A Christmas Story, The Polar Express, and Elf.

A new outdoor walk-through light exhibit will also be there featuring 100,000 square feet of Christmas lights and decor.

The annual ICE! exhibit was called off this year because of travel restrictions which have hindered the master ice sculptors from China from being able to make it to the United States.

In a statement, Mike Stengel, senior vice president of Gaylord Hotels at Marriott International, stated, "More than ever this winter, friends and families will be seeking places they can go to experience the joy and magic of the holiday season together in a safe setting. We are looking forward to providing an amazing selection of unique and memorable experiences for them at our open resorts in a safe and secure manner."
