Tyler Perry Is Officially A Billionaire

Tyler Perry is officially Hollywood's newest billionaire!

On Tuesday (September 1), Forbes announced that the 50-year-old filmmaker had joined the ranks of Oprah Winfrey, Steven Spielberg, and George Lucas with a net worth of $1 billion.

Forbes also reported that Perry, who has built an entertainment empire with 1,200 episodes of television, 22 feature films, at least two dozen stage plays, and a 330-acre studio, has earned in excess of $1.4 billion since 2005.
