Yountville's French Laundry Restaurant Reopens For Indoor Dining

The pandemic has been brutal for most, if not all restaurants. Some of them are reopening, but at slower pace and reduced capacity. Thomas Keller’s world-renowned French Laundry in Yountville in Napa County is reopening, but on a smaller, more expensive scale. As if the regular $350 tasting menu wasn’t already steep. But to be fair, The French Laundry is Disneyland for foodies, with three Michelin stars.
Napa recently lifted the ban on indoor dining with %25 capacity restriction, which means The French Laundry can reopen indoors with only three tables at a time. Parties of two to eight people can enjoy a “fully immersive and privatized experience” at $850 per person! On the menu? A bottle of 2006 Dom Perignon, truffles, Regiis Ova caviar, foie gras, wagyu beef and extended canapés and dessert service, among other things. Despite the price we’re betting that it’ll still be tough to get a reservation.
