Russell Dickerson And His Wife Kailey Welcome Their First Child

Russell Dickerson and his wife Kailey have officially welcomed their first child!

Their son, Remington Edward Dickerson, was born at 3:23 p.m. on September 10, People reports. Their baby boy weighed in at 10 lbs., 4 oz., measuring 22.5 inches long.

Dickerson and Kailey first announced they were expecting their first child in April. "I've been rocking the dad shoes for a while now. NOW they’re official!" Dickerson joked in an interview with People at the time. "It just got to the point where we’re like, 'Well, if it happens, it happens. It’ll happen when it does.' It's all God’s timing on that part. So yeah, I was completely surprised."

Kailey surprised Dickerson with the big news in the "sweetest" way on New Year's Day. "She put a stocking up on the mantel and I opened it," he shared, adding that she gave him "little navy blue slippers with big white letter on them" that said "Best Dad."

Dickerson revealed the gender of the baby to fans in an Instagram video which showed him surprising his wife with the news after a visit to the doctor's office.

Kailey shared a photo at the time of her reaction to her husband's sweet surprise. "As a girl raised with 5 older brothers, this is everything I ever wanted and more," she said in the caption. "I love the boys in my life so much and now I get to raise one of my own."

She continued on to explain how a dream she had inspired the gender reveal. "I had a dream Russ did the gender reveal for me, just the two of us," she shared. "He found out the gender, bought baby clothes, decorated our future nursery & surprised me! So that's what we did!"

Kailey adds, "In the dream it was a little boy turns out my dream is real life!"
