10 Northeast Ohio Wineries To Try As Vineyards Still Flourish Amid COVID-19

The unprecedented COVID-19 pandemic has caused many businesses to curtail services or shutter their doors, but wineries have been able to continue drawing customers.
Wineries, often a summer staple as people take advantage of the weather, offer open spaces that foster social distancing and make other health and safety measures easy.
Winery owners throughout Northeast Ohio have harvested the benefits of large outdoor spaces and observed customers respecting guidelines.
Although some have noted their winery's success before the pandemic to explain its current prosperity, others said they've noticed a spike in foot traffic.
“We’re just as busy, if not busier, this year than last,” Loretta Todd, manager of Debonne Vineyards in Madison, for example, said to cleveland.com.
But foot traffic isn’t the only way local wineries have managed to keep business going in 2020.
Some Northeast Ohioans might exercise caution when considering whether to venture to a vineyard as the novel coronavirus continues to spread.
Delivery services help them to still enjoy wines, craft beers and local food products. The Valley Wine Group bands local establishments together to deliver to residents of four Northeast Ohio counties: Ashtabula, Lake, Geauga and Cuyahoga. That partnership includes Debonne Vineyards, Grand River Cellars Winery & Restaurant, South River Vineyard, Cask 307 and Double Wing Brewing Co.
