Fifteen years after Jessica Simpson rocked those denim cutoff shorts as Daisy Duke in Dukes of Hazzard, the singer/author/mom of three is bringing them back in a beautiful new photo.
To promote her Jessica Simpson Collection, on their Instagram, the brand shared a picture of Simpson, 40, showing off her toned legs in denim shorts and a yellow buffalo plaid top tied at the waist, with sky high heels, as she stands in the doorway of a green van. The image was captioned, "Classic Jess!"
Beautiful as Daisy in 2005 and beautiful as a mom of three, fashion designer, author and singer in 2020.
Back in the Fall, Jessica revealed that she had lost 100 pounds since giving birth to her third child Birdie Mae. On Instagram, she shared a photo of her slim figure and said, "6 months. 100 pounds down (Yes, I tipped the scales at 240) My first trip away from #BIRDIEMAE and emotional for many reasons, but so proud to feel like myself again. Even when it felt impossible, I chose to work harder."
Simpson had worked with celebrity trainer Harley Pasternak who shared of the star's fitness and weight loss journey, "Beyond proud of this incredible woman. Been working together for over 12 years and she’s always the most warm, sweet, polite, and respectful person in the world. And on top of it all, after being nonstop pregnant for as long as I can remember, she’s down 100 pounds and looks younger today than she was when we met. Shout out to the awesome."
Jessica turned 40 this year, and celebrated by slipping in to a pair of 14-year-old jeans she had in her closet. Along with a photo on Instagram, she said, "I have kept these throwback True Religion jeans in my closet for 14 yrs (I’m not exaggerating!). I figured that since I’m in the final hours of my 30’s I’d give them another try, and hello 40, so nice to meet you."
