San Antonio Botanical Garden Opens New Origami Exhibit This Weekend

If you're looking for something do do this weekend, look no further. The San Antonio Botanical Garden is unveiling a new garden exhibit featuring stunning origami creations.
The exhibit, OrigamiintheGarden², will feature metals as origami paper art.
There will be options for guided and self-guided tours for opening weekend. Included in the exhibit is many origami-inspired activities, a cash bar, food prepared by celebrity chef Jason Dady, and other food and drink options.
Activities will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays from September 19th until May 9th.
The garden will feature creations made from a single piece of paper including soaring birds, gliding airplanes, ponies, boats, and butterflies.
The exhibit was created by artists Jennifer and Kevin Box.
The first exhibition of OrigamiintheGarden² debuted in 2014 in Santa Fe and has been featured in botanical gardens throughout the United States ever since. This weekend will be the exhibit's Texas debut.
The exhibit is included in the general admission price of the San Antonio Botanical Garden. Admission is $15 for adults, $13 for those with student and military IDs, and $12 for children age 3-13. Children 2 and under get in free.
