Albert Haynesworth, a former standout for both the University of Tennessee and Tennessee Titans, was reportedly arrested in Cleveland, Tennessee on Monday.

The Bradley County Sheriff's Department confirmed Haynesworth's arrest to Newschannel 9 on Tuesday after online records showed he was charged with domestic violence and disorderly conduct.

Police confirmed to Newschannel 9 that Haynesworth was arrested in relation to an incident involving ex-girlfriend and former Tennessee Lady Vols basketball player Brittany Jackson and her new boyfriend Reginald Tucker.

The Cleveland Police Department said officers responded to a home located on Chelsa Drive just before 4:30 p.m., according to a release obtained by Newschannel 9. Cleveland Police spokeswoman Sergeant Evie West said Haynesworth was at the address yelling at the couple and, according to Jackson, drove from Franklin, Tennessee after threatening to physically harm Jackson and Tucker.

West said Haynesworth violated the law because the two victims reasonably feared he would cause bodily injury, despite Jackson telling officers Haynesworth didn't commit physical harm to either of them. The former NFL lineman was taken into custody after being told several times to stop yelling and cursing, according to Sgt. West via Newschannel 9.

Haynesworth and Jackson have shared a publicized, tumultuous relationship, which included Haynesworth, a Black man, alleging he had been the victim of racial slurs and repeated physical attacks by Jackson, a White woman, the Knoxville News-Sentinel reports. The former couple shares one son together.

Haynesworth was a three-year letterman at the University of Tennessee and enjoyed his most successful tenure as an NFL player with the Tennessee Titans after being selected No. 15 overall by the franchise in the 2002 NFL Draft. The South Carolina native was a Pro Bowl and first-team All-Pro selection during both of his final two seasons in Nashville, as well as the Sporting News NFL Defensive Player of the Year in 2008.
