Dua Lipa and DaBaby throw the best party in the galaxy in their latest music video.
Today (October 2) marked the premiere of Lipa’s newest visual for “Levitating,” which received the remix treatment featuring new rhymes from the Kirk rapper.
The intergalactic visual opens with the English songbird staring up at the stars while sitting on the hood of her ride until a mysterious portal to another universe appears out of nowhere. Stepping inside, Lipa finds herself dancing inside the “levitator,” an elevator ride that, sooner than you know it, transports her to a disco-themed dance party. DaBaby also joins in on the fun-filled experience, dropping a few hot bars on his arrival.
“Left foot, right foot, levitatin’/ Pop stars (Go), Dua Lipa with DaBaby/ I had to lace my shoes for all the blessings I was chasin’/ If I ever slip, I'll fall into a better situation/ So catch up, go put some cheese on it/ Get out and get your bread up,” the 28-year-old lyricist raps on the production while two-stepping with Lipa.
This pop-rap “Levitating” crossover is the latest remix to come off Lipa’s third studio LP, Future Nostalgia. It’s the second time the 25-year-old songstress has remixed the track, after securing the legendary Madonna and Missy Elliott for The Blessed Madonna’s remix in August.
As fans know, DaBaby doesn't often collaborate with pop stars, so this is a pretty awesome addition to his growing canon of features this year following "Rockstarr" with Roddy Ricch, "No Dribble" with Stunna 4 Vegas, "Blind" with Young Thug, and "Oprah's Bank Account" with Lil Yachty and Drake.
