As if raising baby turtles wasn't enough, Frank Iero informed his Instagram followers of a new member of the "Lero" family over the weekend: Soup the puppy.

"Well, today was a big day.... Found in a forest in Georgia, rescued and brought up to NJ. We are proud and lucky to announce the newest addition to the Lero family. World, meet Soup!" he wrote alongside a few photos of the new fur baby. "Nothing like giving this little one a cuddle on the way home from adoption and having her hug right back. 😍 Now off to introduce her to her sister."

Since the introduction, the My Chemical Romance guitarist shared a subsequent post of Soup and Lois wrestling over a frog toy. "the battle for toy frog supremacy has begun. Party On Lois, Party on Soup," he captioned the series of photos.

See both adorable posts below.

Iero, of course, was not planning on spending the fall months raising a zoo — he was supposed to be on the road with MCR —but like so many other bands, their anticipated reunion plans were squashed by the coronavirus pandemic. The band recently rescheduled its North American tour for summer 2021. In the meantime, we can't wait to see more puppy and turtle updates!
