J Balvin is the latest face of McDonald’s celebrity meal collaboration.

Announced Monday morning (October 5), the Columbian singer is next in line to get his own meal at McDonald’s. Balvin follows after previous celebrity McDonald’s meal-maker Travis Scott, who premiered his $6 The Travis Scott Meal — see it here — back in September. (Michael Jordan also teamed up with the restaurant for a meal of his own back in 1992.)

The “Con Altura” star’s new title is a significant one, though, as the 35-year-old superstar becomes the first Latinx artist the fast-food chain has collaborated with in such a way. As revealed in McDonald’s colorful advert, The J Balvin meal consists of a Big Mac (no pickles, please!), medium fries (with ketchup), and an Oreo McFlurry.

Balvin spoke exclusively with Complex about his collab with McDonald’s, a place he fondly associates with his childhood.

“When I had my very first chance to go to the States, it was like a dream to me, coming from Colombia to my first time having a McDonald’s meal,” he told the outlet. “And when they called me saying that they wanted to work with me, I immediately said yes because it connects with me and my childhood.”

When asked what the collaboration means to him, he answered, “It is crazy because we’re talking about Michael Jordan and Travis Scott. So it’s a blessing. … I consider myself a global citizen, but I’m from Medellín, Colombia and this is the first time they’re working with a Latino. It’s a big campaign, so I feel really proud of it.”

The J Balvin meal will be on the menu nationwide for a limited time through November 1.
