Jimmy Fallon is one New Yorker who can definitely hang in Texas.

He gave The Hideout Theatre in Austin $15,000 on Wednesday's The Tonight Show.

“We wanted to do more than just a little shoutout. Thanks to everyone at The Hideout Theatre in the great city of Austin, Texas," said Fallon, before throwing the horns and "Hook 'em."

All this week, Fallon has been giving $15,000 to various locally owned comedy clubs and theaters around the country to help them out during the pandemic.

Like many other live events locations in Austin and throughout the U.S., the Hideout suspended all in-person shows and events. The COVID-19 pandemic has been particularly tough on live events since it was one of the first industries to shut down.

Already, Austin's Cap City Comedy Club closed because of the pandemic.

Fallon's donation comes about a year after he filmed an episode at UT's Bass Concert Hall. He made a splash - literally - during his time in Austin by jumping in Littlefield Fountain and popping up at taco trucks and barbecue joints around the city.
