It started with a photo shoot on the waters and ended in a boat crash. An unmanned boat crashed into a dock in Port St. Lucie Sunday (October 11), NBC Miami reported Monday (October 12). Martin County Sheriff's Office deputies said three men were posing for pictures in the St. Lucie River and fell off the boat. That's when the vehicle started speeding and spinning around in the waters.
The incident was also caught on camera. A Local 10 broadcast featured the video, showing the boat almost making a full circle before cutting to the vessel speeding in the opposite direction. The boat crashed into a concrete dock, appearing to cause damage, and hit another dock near St. Lucie Boulevard. The final impact brought the boat to a stop.
The men said they had to dive underwater multiple times to avoid getting hit. Authorities said no injuries were reported.
Last week, five people were forced off a boat that sank in less than a minute in the Florida Keys. Authorities said they found the people clinging to two bean bags to stay afloat.
