Cardi B & Nicki Minaj May Have Squashed Beef For New Collab: Report

What says "we're past all of the drama" better than a fire collab between the two of the biggest names in hip-hop!?

After Cardi B teased her upcoming single — she said it would make some people mad — many, including a few outlets, began to speculate that the track was a possible collab with her longtime nemesis, Nicki Minaj. (These two have been at odds since Cardi threw a shoe at Nicki during a New York Fashion Week party in 2018)

“Since ya mad ..imma give ya something mad to be about …..This next single and coll- ….Gonna have ya sick ….since ya here 😉😉😉😉," Cardi tweeted. While she didn't reveal the featured artist or the title of the track, fans were quick to point out that the timing of her tweet — she was in the middle of tweeting about her fanbase's feud with Nicki's fans, the Barbs — could be a hint that she is working with Nicki.

If the Cardi/Nicki collab is true, it would certainly come as a welcomed surprise given the tumultuous history between the rappers. However, it wouldn't come as a total shock given the fact that last November, Cardi said she was "ready to forgive," seemingly hinting that she wanted to squash all of her beefs, including the one with Nicki, ahead of the New Year.

"I don't want to end this year on bad terms with anyone," read the meme she shared to social media. "APOLOGIZE TO ME." Cardi additionally captioned the post, "I’m ready to forgive ya 😩😂." While she didn't call anyone out by name, many assumed that her funny, but somewhat serious Instagram peace offering, included squashing her beef with Nicki.
