Halloween lovers looking for late-night frights can tour one of Detroit’s historic, "terrifying" buildings — if they dare.

The former Detroit Police 6th Precinct, on McGraw Avenue, is open for a tour, a ghost hunt and investigation, thanks to City Tour Detroit and Detroit Paranormal Expeditions.

Demand for the Notorious 313: Night In Jail Ghost Hunt & Tour was so high from September 25 through October 31 that organizers added November dates. Two-hour tours run from 6:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., and the four-hour Night In Jail runs from 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. Tickets to tour the precinct are available on November 6, November 13 and November 14.

The Travel Channel dubbed the 1930s building one of the “most terrifying places.”

“Is a malicious spirit imprisoned in the former 6th Precinct and tied to sinister events which occurred inside this building that once served the community for over 75 years?” City Tour Detroit wonders.

Up to 30 people, divided into smaller groups, will embark on the tour with “history and true crime loving guides” to find out, according to City Tour Detroit.

Participants must be at least 18, wear COVID-19 masks, be ready to walk, climb stairs and dress for weather, and sign waivers and photo releases. There will be coffee and donuts and a midnight pizza break.

Tickets are $99 and available at CityTourDetroit.com. Private bookings and groups of 10 or more should call 313-757-1283.
